Something about a painting or somewhat?

Hey so my not-the-youngest kid brother was telling me about this wacky painting. Something about a fireman in a museum looking at a painting of a house on fire, if memory serves. As I always do with this sort of thing, I just went ahead and started pulling off the top of my head about what the whole thing is supposed to mean. Since paintings always have some kind of meaning to get out of 'em, right?

Eh, pretty much I told him the whole thing was a metaphor of some guy's memory. See then, the guy in the painting, he's the lad the memory belongs to, and the museum itself is the guy's mind. So he's remembering something all the sudden, which is why he's suddenly present in the museum scene. The painting's gonna be some one memory. So, some firefighter remembering one particular memory about a house on fire.

Ya following me so far? Well why's this guy remembering the fire anyway? If he's in his firefighter gear in the painting, he's probably about to go fighting a fire in real life. But then he remembers another fire from his past. Why's he remember it? Let's say that particular fire is one he failed to rescue someone in, or he got there too late or something, and he knows he can't live with himself if he messes up again.

Or maybe the guy isn't a firefighter at all and he's seeing his own house burn down. He's feeling pretty down, but besides that he's not even registering that it's really happening. So it's like he's looking at it as if it's a painting or something that isn't real. And he's in firefighter gettup since he wishes there's something he coulda done to stop it.

Heh. I can think of stuff pretty quick-a-like on the spot. It's a skill ya need out there in the rough, I tell ya.

Hey look I'm not stuck in secrecy anylong!

Heya. Omatav here. I've got some good news for ya, yes I do. Klesh and the other up-top folk went out on a heckuvva long mission, somethin' about a nasty conspiracy what with a bio-weapon breakout. I prob'ly ought ta not say that it's based mostly in Bangladesh. But I surely can't see any harm in saying so, and what can my boss-types do ta me when they're all the way over in Asia somewhere?

Welps, that takes me right to what I was getting around to saying. Pretty much I've got free reign to write whatever the hecks I want about what I do and what I hear. Since my bosses can't do much to me when they're out on operations that far away, aye. And if some other group makes trouble for us 'cause of the things I leak out, then mind you I'll handle it quick and swift. I can take care of myself and so can my pals.

I'd daresay we're invincible, or close enough to it so we're not concerned about what anyone else would do. Kapeesh?

But ya know, there's nothin' greatly exciting to talk of yet though, all that aside. I'll keep ya posted.

Awright!

oh hey welcome to the pool room, it is a large and vast pool room with no actual pool tables but it's a pool room anyway because everyone wants to hang out in a pool room dangit

So I guess I'm supposed to introduce myself or somewhat? My good friends, I am Omatav Cocktail and I don't play fair. Listen up good and listen up fast because you'll miss something if you don't!!

See now, I'm situated up here in Norway where I'm a part of a legendary group of vigilantes, and I've been with them since I was a wee lad. It's a nice gig I tell ya what. And I'm no thug, mind you I've played my part in shooting down the nastier radicals around here who threaten all kinds of national and international security. I don't care what you've heard, it's an unruly place up north.

I've also got charge over my two kid brothers who aren't quite ready for the stuff I've got to put up with. They'll get up there some day. But hey, I'm right fond of them just the way they are now. Cute little guys, them.

I daresay I can't put too much about what I do around here, I'm not so concerned about information security personally. We got nothin' to hide. The other guys up top get upset over that kinda thing, though. So I won't speak up much yet. But hey, I'm here.
